Our Next Assessment!
Our next assessment is an accident scenario which involves creating brusises, cuts and abrasions. We have to prepare for this by doing a few practices and get some research for reference. We then have to do a pre-assessment so we know where we can improve for the final assessment. Im doing pretty well wth mine so far i just have to do more. Which basically means more than one area of the body to make it more realistic.
Course Experiance so far...
My course so far has been like a roller coaster. Sometimes its fast sometimes its slow. Sometimes my skills are at my highest level and sometimes they're at their lowest point and I'm not getting anywhere. It all depends on what your most confident at. Im an enthusiastic person when it comes to my course. I love learning new things and trying my best at them. I feel like I still havn't reached my highest level of ability. Im passing my assessments with ease but I feel I can extend that little notch higher.
Curriculum for Excellence
Curriculum for Excellence aka CfE aims to ensure that all children and young people in Scotland develop the attributes, knowledge and skills they will need to flourish in life, learning and work.

In Hairdressing we are responsible for our clients requirement and they have to trust us with their needs. We have to build confidence in working with other people as this is a huge step to being in the real world as we interact with people on a daily basis. We have to be able to talk to and discuss with the clients about their particular needs and then carry out those actions. In Special Effects, face painting and media makeup we have to be able to broaden our minds for the different things you can re create into our own work. We have to research for the looks we are doing for reference and a guide to what to aim for but our own individuality is transferred onto our work as well. the whole concept of CfE is to build a sense of satisfaction and helps to build motivation, resilience and confidence.

Fantasy!
Heres a few fantasy pictures.
I will be trying to explain how I can recreate then in my own personal way.
I would recreate this by using blue body paint and adding latex to make the textured look and paint them darker shaded of blue! Id them add gel to the hair and yellow contacts to the eyes!
Latex and synthetic peices all round for this one! i'll paint the face a paleish white/lilac colour to give the effect of looking seriously unwell. Contacts will be required for this one also.
Joker makeup! Obviously the white facepaint will be required. Darkgrey colour to the eyes and red lipstick extended up each side of the face. Id then take tissue paper and wipe off most excess and make it look like it has been sweat off.
